We are heartbroken over the situation in southeast Texas with the effects of Hurricane Harvey. We have a few IMMEDIATE needs to help serve the thousands of people who are still stranded in the Houston area. This morning, a few teams from our Collective have organized boats and canoes and are heading to the Houston area to assist a sister church in their immediate rescue needs.
We are in IMMEDIATE need of the following things:
- 50 gallon jugs of fresh water
- 25 life vests
- Battery-operated spot lights
- Small or medium sized gas generator
- 10 fully-charged iPhone chargers
- 5 First Aid kits
- 20 blankets
- 200 Cliff Bars
- Small flat-bottom fishing boats
- trolling motors (electric or gas)
If you are able to drop off any of these items at The For The City Center before 2:00pm, please call Dietrich Schmidt at 512-940-7241 (dietrich@austinstone.org) and let him know you got it! Address is 500 E. St John, Austin, TX 78752
Be on the lookout for more ways you can help this week, as well as supplies you can bring to Collective Thursday night. Continue to be in prayer for our friends in Houston.
Much love — Aaron Ivey
